What is Plantar Fasciitis?

By definition Plantar fasciitis is when the plantar fascia which is a broad band of connective tissue under the sole of the foot is inflamed. This condition is often referred to as Plantar fasciopathy and occasionally confused/grouped with the condition heel spurs due to the relative proximity of where the spurs and fascia are located but these are 2 seperate injuries.
